Where do I send my HSF Scholarship Documents Requirement?

All documents should uploaded via your MyHSF portal when requested. Only documents uploaded via your MyHSF portal will be accepted. Documents sent by mail, fax, or email will not be considered.

Do I encrypt my files to protect my information?

No. HSF’s online system is fully secure. Applicant-encrypted documents usually lead to disruptions in the application review process. Mostly, the HSF Scholarship Programs Team cannot read and verify the receipt of documents if they are encrypted.HSF scholarship program accepts all word-processing documents in PDF format. How can students upload my transcript onto my application?

1. Students are required to upload their official or unofficial academic transcript(s) only when requested. If the application is requested, scan and upload a PDF copy of your transcript(s) to your MyHSF portal.
2.  Applicants may also submit a screenshot of their transcripts from your college student portal along with your documents.
3. Handwritten transcripts will not be accepted at all.
4. Applicant transcript(s) must indicate your name, institution, and cumulative GPA.
5. If the Applicant’s transcript does not include an academic GPA, please request a GPA and written explanation from your counselor or Registrar that describes how the GPA was calculated.
6. If a student’s particular transcript runs more than one page, you must scan all pages and merge them into ONE file, then upload the entire transcript in PDF format. The exact process is required for any additional multi-page documents you wish to upload. Each document must be less than 10 MB.

How do I upload multiple transcripts?

Transcripts from different institutions must be uploaded into the Applicant MyHSF portal when requested. Please merge all relevant transcripts into one PDF file under 10 MB.

Yes. Students must submit an English translation of each non-English transcript from a foreign institution.

For a legal permanent resident or eligible non-US citizen. What documentation do I need to submit to the HSF scholarship fund?

HSF works on citizenship verification through the Student Aid Report (SAR). Therefore, it is unnecessary to submit additional proof of residency to HSF by the Applicant. Please note that all US citizens, permanent residents, and eligible non-US citizens must submit a FAFSA to provide HSF with a SAR, and no further documentation is needed. You are ineligible for the HSF Scholar Program if a student meets the residency criteria mentioned and does not file a FAFSA

I am a student with a DACA status. Do I need to submit supporting documentation?

Yes. Applicants with DACA status will be required to upload a copy of their valid Employment Authorization Document (EAD). Expired EADs will not be accepted for the HSF scholarship fund.

What is the FAFSA?

The FAFSA, Free Application for Federal Student Aid, is a form submitted annually by current and prospective college students in the US to determine their eligibility for federal student financial aid, including Pell Grants, work-study programs, and loans. All US citizens, permanent residents, and eligible non-US citizens must submit a FAFSA to provide HSF with a Student Aid Report. What is a Student Aid Report (SAR), and why must students submit it to HSF?

The Student Aid Report (SAR) is a report of your responses on the FAFSA by the US Department of Education once the FAFSA application has been processed for the Applicant. The SAR contains the candidate’s information on the FAFSA and the resulting federally calculated Expected Family Contribution (EFC). The financial aid office of the student’s institution will use the information in the SAR to determine the student’s eligibility for federal student aid programs each year. What is a State Student Aid Report (SSAR), and do I have to submit one?
