Eligibility Criteria for Security Bank Scholarship 2024

1. Scholarship Should be graduating Grade 12 students from public or private schools.
2. No parent of the applicant should currently be employed or assigned to the Security Bank.
3. Students must enroll in any of the 8 Security Bank Inc. partner schools in NCR.
4. There are no other existing scholarships except for discounts provided by the schools.
5. Applicant has a latest General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 90% or its equivalent.
6. Candidate no other family member currently admitted to the scholarship within a second degree of consanguinity or affinity.

Scholarship Benefits

Each candidate is eligible for the following benefits each academic year till he completes his higher education.

State Universities

1.  Stipend of Php 10,000 per month for a maximum of 10 school months to every student.
2. No allotment of Tuition and Miscellaneous Fees due to the “Free Tuition Law” for scholars.

Private Universities

1. A Stipend of Php 5,000 per month for a maximum of 10 school months to every student.
2. A Maximum of Php 100,000 of Tuition and Miscellaneous Fees each year.

What is Termination in the Philippines?

A scholar may be terminated from the Security Bank Scholarships 2024 for the following reasons.

1. Availment of another scholarship may be terminated.
2. Transferring to another school may be terminated.
3. Shifting to a non-eligible course is terminated.
4. Failure to meet the general weighted average
5. In case of violation of school policies during the availing of the grant
6. Deferment of enrolment in a school year (except for poor health)
7. Failure to submit renewal requirements on the date of the deadline of scholarship.
8. Failing, incomplete, or dropped grades in academic and non-academic subjects will be terminated from the scholarship.

Screening and Selection Process

1. Only applications submitted online will be screened by the Security Bank Foundation’s Scholarship Officer on merit.
2. Valid applications are selected by the Security Bank Foundation to respective scholarship coordinators of our partner schools/universities.
3. Security Bank Foundation may validate the data indicated in the application through mobile phone calls and emails of the applicant.
4. Students who pass the first level review will proceed to the online interview.
5. Admitted Students will be notified through mobile phone calls and email. Candidates should ensure active contact information stated in the online application form.
6. Newly admitted scholars will sign a scholarship agreement to confirm their admission.

 Terms and Conditions for scholarship

1. The scholarship assistance begins in the first year of the tertiary course and continues until student graduation is completed.
2. Each school term, the scholar must be enrolled in at least the minimum amount of units/load required by the school not more than that.
3. Scholars must maintain an 86% overall weighted average and an 80% per subject grade by the end of the semester/trimester to be continued in scholarship.
